Cat MarioPlay Cat Mario online. This hilariously unfair rage platformer is filled with invisible traps, fake power-ups, and rigged levels designed to troll you.
Cat Mario
Cat Mario (also known as Syobon Action) looks exactly like a classic 8-bit platformer, but its only goal is to troll you as hard as possible. You play as a cheerful white cat running through a familiar-looking world that is completely rigged. Invisible blocks trap you over pits, power-ups kill you, the clouds throw things at you, and the flag at the end of the level might just run away.
Every level is a game of trial and error where you memorize the traps by dying to them over and over. A single stage can easily take dozens of lives to complete. The whole experience is an absurd exercise in patience, designed to be so unfair that it actually becomes hilarious.
Controls
- Arrow Keys: Move left and right.
- Up Arrow: Jump.
- Down Arrow: Crouch.
- R: Restart the level after a trap gets you.
Tips to survive
- Distrust everything: If a jump looks too easy or a mushroom looks helpful, it is probably a trap. Assume the floor will fall away.
- Inch forward: Do not sprint blindly. Move slightly to trigger falling ceilings, hidden spikes, or enemies, then jump back to safety.
- Memorize the route: You will not beat a level on your first try. Remember exactly which blocks are rigged so you can pass them on your tenth attempt.
This is a fantastic rage game for short sessions, but it will test your temper. Play it when you are ready to laugh at your own misfortune, directly in your browser.
