Bloons Tower Defense 2 takes the classic balloon-popping formula from the original game and expands it with new ways to stop the bloon invasion. As waves of colored balloons float along a winding path, your job is to place dart-throwing monkeys and specialized traps to pop them before they can reach the exit. Each balloon that slips by costs you lives, making strategic placement crucial.
This sequel introduces several iconic defenses that became staples of the series, including the Boomerang Monkey that can pop multiple bloons with a single throw, and powerful Monkey Glue to slow down fast-moving waves. You earn money for every pop, which you must carefully reinvest into upgrading your existing monkeys or buying new ones to handle the increasingly difficult waves of faster and tougher bloons.
Controls
Play the entire game using just your mouse:
- Left Click: Select a tower from the menu, place it on the map, or click an existing tower to buy upgrades.
- Start Round: Click the play button to send in the next wave of bloons.
Tips that actually help
- Use curves to your advantage: Place towers like the Boomerang Monkey near loops or sharp corners so they have more time to attack the bloons as they pass by.
- Prioritize upgrades over numbers: A few fully upgraded towers are often much more effective than a large number of basic Dart Monkeys.
- Save for lead bloons: Make sure you have at least one Cannon (Bomb Tower) placed before round 20, as it is the only way to break through the armor of lead bloons.
