Genie Quest
Genie Quest is a puzzle adventure that takes the classic match-three formula and opens up the grid. Set in a colorful, Arabian Nights-inspired world, you play as a prince or princess working your way through a sultan’s palace by clearing boards full of magical genies. Instead of just swapping adjacent tiles to make straight lines, you draw paths through any matching genies that touch—including diagonally—to build massive chains.
Every stage gives you a specific goal to hit before you run out of moves. Early on, you might just need to collect a set number of red or blue genies, but the boards quickly introduce obstacles like stone blocks and skulls that force you to think carefully about where you start and end your chains.
Controls
- Mouse or Touch: Click/tap and drag across matching genies to link them, then release to clear the chain.
Tips that actually help
- Look for the diagonals: Because you can link genies diagonally, you can often connect two groups that look separated. Always scan the corners of your current chain before letting go.
- Prioritize the objective: If the level asks for blue genies, do not waste limited moves clearing huge chains of green ones unless it directly helps you reach the colors you actually need.
- Work from the bottom: Clearing tiles lower on the board causes more cascading drops, which can naturally group up the genies you need at the top.
