Basket ChampsRepresent your country in Basket Champs, a physics-based basketball tournament game. Master the drag-and-release controls to sink free throws and win.
Basket Champs
Basket Champs is a straightforward basketball tournament game that strips away the court running and focuses entirely on the pressure of the free throw. You pick a national team and enter a bracket-style championship, alternating shots with the computer across a series of increasingly difficult matchups. The goal is simple: sink more baskets than your opponent before you both run out of attempts.
Each round introduces new environmental variables that mess with your rhythm. While early shots are stationary, later stages bring moving hoops and changing distances. It is a game of muscle memory and adapting to slight changes in physics under a very tight time constraint.
Controls
The entire game revolves around a simple drag-and-release mechanic:
- Mouse / Touch: Click (or touch) the ball, drag backward to set the trajectory and power, and release to shoot.
Tips for Winning the Tournament
- Watch the dotted line: The trajectory indicator is your best friend. Pay close attention to its arc rather than just guessing the power.
- Account for the moving backboard: In later rounds, don’t aim for where the hoop is; aim for where it will be when the ball reaches the peak of its arc.
- Take a breath: You have a few seconds per shot. Do not rush your release just because the opponent scored quickly.
