Battlefields.io is a fast-paced tactical strategy game that strips warfare down to pure territorial capture. You start each match in control of a single tower that automatically generates units over time. Surrounding you are neutral and enemy-held towers. Your goal is to overwhelm the map by directing your units to capture these neighboring structures, expanding your unit production until you wipe out the opposing armies entirely.
The matches move quickly, forcing you to constantly re-evaluate the map. You have to decide whether to leave your forces defending a crucial chokepoint, swarm a lightly-defended neutral tower to boost your unit generation, or launch a massive coordinated assault against an enemy base. As you capture more territory, you also earn skill points to upgrade your towers’ defense, unit speed, and reproduction rate.
Controls
- Select and Attack: Click and drag from your tower to a target tower to send your units.
- Multi-Select: Click and drag across several of your towers, then release on an enemy tower to launch a coordinated attack from multiple bases at once.
Tips for Winning
- Grab neutral towers early: At the start of a match, expand as quickly as possible into nearby neutral towers to jumpstart your unit production.
- Watch your defenses: Sending units leaves your home tower vulnerable. Wait until you have a healthy surplus before launching an attack, or your enemy might counterattack an empty base.
- Use the multi-select: Don’t just attack from one tower. Dragging across multiple towers allows you to crush heavily defended enemy positions through sheer numbers.
