Cooking Tile
Cooking Tile takes the familiar mahjong solitaire formula and adds a fast-paced matching twist. Instead of simply finding pairs on the edge of the board, you select food-themed tiles to move them into a seven-slot tray at the bottom of the screen. The goal is to match three identical tiles—like burgers, veggies, or cakes—to clear them from the tray and score points. If you fill all seven slots without making a match, your kitchen gets backed up and the game is over.
This setup makes for a relaxing but strategic puzzle experience. Early levels are breezy and introduce the mechanics, but the difficulty ramps up as tiles become heavily layered. You have to think several moves ahead, revealing hidden tiles beneath the top layers without clogging your tray with unmatched ingredients.
Controls
- Mouse: Left-click on any exposed tile to move it into your tray.
- Mobile/Tablet: Tap an exposed tile to select it.
Tips that Actually Help
- Watch your tray space: Don’t click tiles randomly if you can’t see a match. Leave at least two empty slots in your tray for emergencies.
- Work from the top down: Prioritize clearing tiles that are blocking the most items underneath them.
- Use the undo wisely: If you get stuck, use your limited undo moves to pull a mismatched tile out of your tray and free up space.
