Drop The Number
Drop The Number merges the quick decision-making of Tetris with the satisfying number progression of 2048. Numbered blocks slowly descend from the top of the screen, and you must choose which column to drop them into. When a block lands on or next to another block with the exact same number, they merge into a single block with double the value.
As the game progresses and your board fills up, the pace quickens and space becomes severely limited. One wrong drop can block your carefully stacked numbers, leaving you scrambling to clear space before the blocks hit the top of the screen and end your run.
Controls
The controls are simple and rely entirely on quick positioning:
- Tap/Click a column: Instantly drops the current block into that lane.
- Drag horizontally: Position the block, and release or swipe down to drop it.
Tips that actually help
- Stack from high to low: Keep your highest numbers at the bottom of the grid and build smaller numbers on top of them. This allows chains of merges to happen naturally as new blocks land.
- Don’t block your big numbers: Avoid dropping low-value blocks directly on top of your highest blocks unless you have a plan to merge them away quickly.
- Look ahead: Always keep an eye on the “next block” preview so you can plan where to place your current piece to set up future combos.
