Guide your frog across a busy highway and a rushing river to safety in Frogger, the classic arcade game of timing and patience.

In Frogger, your only goal is to guide a vulnerable amphibian from the bottom of the screen to the safety of the lily pads at the top. To get there, you have to cross a bustling five-lane highway packed with speeding cars and trucks, followed immediately by a treacherous river rushing with logs and alligators. One wrong hop or a split-second delay, and you are starting over. It is the classic arcade test of timing, patience, and spatial awareness.

Every round is a race against the clock. The traffic patterns and river speeds increase in complexity as you clear each level, forcing you to think multiple moves ahead. You have to fill all five lily pads to complete a stage, which means you cannot rely on a single safe path. As the screen gets faster and the gaps get narrower, Frogger transforms from a simple crossing game into a frantic, high-stakes puzzle.

Controls

Use the Arrow keys (Up, Down, Left, Right) to hop one space in that direction. You can also use the WASD keys if you prefer.

Tips for Survival

  • Watch the river edges: Logs and turtles move continuously and will carry you off the edge of the screen. If you ride an object off-screen, you will lose a life.
  • Some turtles dive: Pay attention to the turtles you hop on. If they start flashing or turning red, they are about to dive underwater. Jump off immediately.
  • Take the hard pads first: Fill the lily pads on the far left and far right early in the level when the speed is more manageable, leaving the easier center pads for when time is running out.
  • Patience pays off: Do not rush into the highway blindly. Wait at the bottom of the screen or on the median to observe the traffic patterns before committing to a crossing.

Frogger is a timeless arcade staple that runs flawlessly in your browser, requiring no downloads to jump right in.
