Hoppenhelm is a fast-paced, grid-based dungeon crawler where hesitation is your enemy. You control Sir Hoppenhelm as he descends into the depths of his own castle, jumping across spike traps, slicing through slimes, and blocking fireballs. The floor collapses behind you with every passing second, forcing you to keep moving forward and think two steps ahead.
Each run is a test of reflexes and quick decision-making. You only have three basic moves: jump, attack, and block. Surviving means knowing exactly when to use each one as the traps get faster and the enemy combinations get trickier. As you gather coins, you can unlock new weapons and characters to give yourself an edge on the next descent.
Controls
- Left Arrow or A: Jump forward to the next tile.
- Right Arrow or D: Attack with your weapon to break objects and defeat enemies.
- Down Arrow or S: Block incoming attacks or projectiles with your shield.
