Penalty Shooters is a classic soccer shootout game that strips the sport down to its most intense moments: the penalty kick. You pick your favorite fantasy soccer team and enter a tournament where every match is decided entirely from the penalty spot. The game takes you back and forth between the pressure of taking the shot and the reflexes required to defend the goal.
A session moves fast. As the kicker, you watch the targeting reticle to pick your spot and time your power just right to slip it past the keeper. Then, you immediately switch to playing as the goalkeeper, relying on quick reactions to dive and block your opponent’s shot. Advancing through the tournament bracket requires mastering both sides of the ball.
Controls
- As the Kicker: Click and hold the left mouse button to aim and power up your shot. Release to kick.
- As the Goalkeeper: Click anywhere on the goal when the red target appears to dive in that direction and block the shot.
Tips that actually help
- Vary your shots: Don’t always aim for the top corners. Mixing up your placement keeps the AI goalkeeper guessing and increases your chances of scoring.
- Watch the target as goalie: A red target appears for a split second before the opponent kicks. Be ready to click it immediately.
- Wait for the right moment: When shooting, let the aiming reticle settle before releasing. Rushing your shot often results in a miss or an easy save for the keeper.
