Tips that actually help
- Time your smashes: Do not just spam the hit button. Wait for the ball to arc high into your side of the court, jump, and hit the smash button to drive it down at a sharp angle.
- Control the center: After every shot, return to the middle of the court. The characters move relatively slowly, and being caught at the edge makes it impossible to reach a cross-court return.
- Capitalize on power-ups: Pay attention to when a power-up appears over the net. Hitting the ball through it applies the effect. If it is a negative effect (like a freeze), try to avoid letting your opponent hit it through.
