Blocky Snakes drops you into a competitive, fast-paced arena where the goal is simply to survive and grow. Drawing inspiration from classic snake games and modern multiplayer hits, you start as a small voxel-style serpent and must navigate a crowded map filled with scattered food and rival players. Every piece you eat adds to your length and score, slowly turning you from a vulnerable target into a massive, arena-dominating threat.
The real challenge comes from the other snakes sharing the map. If your head collides with another player’s body, your run ends immediately, and all the mass you collected bursts into food for others to claim. To climb the leaderboard, you have to be aggressive—boosting ahead to cut off opponents, trapping them in coils, and sweeping up the rewards they leave behind.
Controls
- Mouse: Move your cursor to steer your snake.
- Left Click / Spacebar: Hold to boost your speed (costs a small amount of your mass).
Tips that actually help
- Boost with purpose: Using your speed boost shrinks your snake slightly, so only use it when you have a clear opening to trap an opponent or escape a tight spot.
- Coil around the small ones: Once you get large enough, you can loop your body entirely around a smaller snake. As the circle tightens, they will have nowhere to go but into your side.
- Scavenge early on: When you are small and agile, look for areas where giant snakes are battling. You can quickly swoop in and steal mass from a fallen giant before the winner can eat it all.
