Scrap Metal is a 3D driving sandbox that hands you the keys to a fleet of iconic vehicles and an open arena to test them in. Rather than racing against the clock or AI opponents, you have complete freedom to drift, jump, and crash however you see fit. The game features realistic damage physics, meaning every collision deforms your vehicle, and hitting a wall at high speeds will leave your car a crumpled mess.
What makes the game unique is its real-time inventory system. You can open a menu and drag-and-drop obstacles directly into the world. By placing ramps, loops, and platforms, you can build your own custom stunt park on the fly. Whether you want to test the top speed of a sports car or see how much damage a heavy off-roader can survive, you define your own goals.
Controls

Tips that actually help
- Build before you drive: Set up your ramps and loops in a straight line before switching to your fastest car. It is much easier to land massive stunts when you have a clear, straight runway.
- Mind your wheels: The damage model is realistic. If you smash your front axle or lose a wheel, the car will become nearly impossible to steer until you press R for a quick repair.
- Switch it up: Every vehicle has a distinct weight and handling profile. Use heavy trucks to plow through obstacles and rear-wheel-drive sports cars for drifting around the flat sections of the map.
