Drive Mad
Drive Mad is a physics-based racing game where you navigate blocky vehicles through increasingly bizarre and challenging obstacle courses. Instead of racing against a clock, your main goal is simply to reach the finish line in one piece. Every level introduces a new, uniquely shaped truck or car, forcing you to constantly adapt your driving style to handle massive wheels, stretched chassis, or wildly unbalanced weight distribution.
The core challenge lies in the physics engine. Accelerating too hard will flip you backward, while braking suddenly might pitch you forward into a crash. You have to carefully balance your speed and angle over stairs, gaps, and destructible bridges. Because the game runs directly in the browser with no downloads required, you can jump right into the action.
Controls
The controls are simple, but mastering the physics takes practice.
- Accelerate: Up arrow, W, or Right arrow
- Brake / Reverse: Down arrow, S, or Left arrow
- Balance: Left and Right arrows (while in the air)
Tips for Success
- Feather the throttle: Holding down the gas is a guaranteed way to flip your vehicle. Tap the accelerate key to maintain control over rough terrain.
- Use reverse to balance: If you are tipping too far forward on a steep incline, gently tapping reverse can help shift your weight back.
- Pay attention to the vehicle: Each level features a different vehicle design. A truck with massive front wheels handles very differently than a long, stretched-out limo. Test its balance early in the level.
