Gun Mayhem
Gun Mayhem is a fast-paced arena shooter where the only goal is to blast your opponents off the map. Instead of relying on a traditional health bar, you win by dealing enough damage to push enemies backward until they fall off the edge, similar to platform fighters like Super Smash Bros. You can play through a challenging single-player campaign against the AI, or load into a custom game to fight against your friends.
Every match starts with basic weapons, but weapon crates frequently drop from the sky to shake up the balance. Securing these crates gives you access to devastating shotguns, snipers, and miniguns with massive knockback. With bouncy physics and double-jumps, staying on the platform requires constant movement and quick reflexes, especially when up to four players are filling the screen with bullets.
Controls
The game supports up to 4 players on a single keyboard. All keys can be rebound in the Options menu.
Player 1
- Move/Jump: Arrow Keys
- Shoot: [ (Left Bracket)
- Bomb: ] (Right Bracket)
Player 2
- Move/Jump: W, A, S, D
- Shoot: T
- Bomb: Y
Tips that actually help
- Control the center: Getting pushed near the edge of the arena makes you highly vulnerable to knockback. Always try to fight your way back to the middle of the stage.
- Use bombs for recovery: If you are knocked off the stage and have a double jump left, throwing a bomb downwards can sometimes give you the extra boost needed to get back on solid ground.
- Rush the crates: Power weapons dictate the flow of the match. A well-timed minigun or sniper shot will instantly knock an opponent off the screen, so prioritize picking up crates as soon as they spawn.
