Stair Race 3D is a fast-paced running and building game where you must gather planks of your own color to construct stairs and reach the next platform before your opponents. It is a race to the top, but you are not just running—you are constantly searching for your designated color while navigating around rivals who might try to knock you down.
The core loop revolves around balancing speed with careful collection. If you try to build too early, you might run out of planks halfway up. If you bump into an opponent who has collected more planks than you, your character will get knocked over, dropping all your hard-earned materials. You have to stay alert, hoard enough planks to make a full climb, and occasionally play offensively by ramming into opponents carrying fewer planks.
Controls
- PC: Use the mouse to click and drag to move your character, or use the Arrow keys/WASD.

Tips
- Count your planks: Try to estimate how many planks you need to complete a staircase. Don’t start building unless you have a substantial stack, as stopping halfway leaves your stairs vulnerable to being overwritten by an opponent.
- Play aggressively when advantageous: If you see an opponent with a smaller stack than yours, bump into them. They will lose all their planks, which scatters them across the floor for anyone to pick up.
- Watch your back: If an opponent has a huge stack of planks on their back, steer clear! A collision will cause you to drop everything and waste valuable time getting back up.
- Steal stairs: You can build over an opponent’s stairs using your own color. If they ran out of planks halfway up, use their foundation to speed up your own climb.
