Hide and Smash
Hide and Smash is a fast-paced twist on prop hunt that drops you into chaotic arenas where blending in is just as important as swinging a hammer. Matches split players into two teams: the blue Hiders and the red Smashers. The rules are simple but the execution is messy, leading to unpredictable rounds where every piece of furniture is a suspect.
If you play as a Hider, your goal is to disguise yourself as ordinary room objects—like boxes, plants, or chairs—and sneak around to collect keys without being spotted. If you are cast as a Smasher, your job is to track down the hiders before they get the keys. You do this by methodically swinging your hammer at anything that looks out of place, breaking the environment apart in the process.
Controls
- WASD or Arrow Keys: Move around the map
- Left Mouse Click / Tap: Swing hammer (Smashers) or interact
Tips for Winning
- Position logically: If you are disguised as a coffee cup, don’t sit in the middle of the floor. Try to place yourself on tables or counters where that object naturally belongs.
- Move only when safe: As a hider, moving when a smasher is looking your way is a guaranteed giveaway. Only shift positions when their back is turned.
- Look for oddities: As a smasher, don’t just blindly swing at everything. Look for objects that are duplicated, overlapping, or placed in unnatural spots.
