Noob Hook
Noob Hook is a physics-based action game where you swing your way to the finish line using a trusty grappling hook. Playing as a familiar blocky character, your goal is to launch yourself from platform to platform while avoiding traps, bottomless pits, and dangerous obstacles scattered throughout each level.
The movement relies entirely on momentum and gravity. By latching onto designated anchor points, you have to build enough speed to launch your character across wide gaps and through tight spaces. As you complete levels, you earn coins that can be spent to unlock a variety of new skins for your character.
Controls
For PC: Click and hold the left mouse button to shoot your hook and swing. Release the button to let go and launch your character.
For Mobile/Tablet: Tap and hold the screen to latch onto blocks. Release your finger to detach and fly forward.
Tips that actually help
- Watch your momentum: Releasing the hook at the lowest point of your swing will give you the most forward speed, while releasing on the upswing gives you more height.
- Don’t hold on too long: Holding the hook for an entire rotation will kill your momentum and leave you hanging. Quick, rhythmic swings are much more effective.
- Look before you leap: Anticipate the next anchor point so you don’t release yourself into a spike trap or a bottomless pit.
