Hills Of SteelDrive your tank across rugged terrain and blast enemies in Hills of Steel. Upgrade your armor and weapons to survive endless physics-based tank battles.
Hills Of Steel
Hills of Steel is a physics-based tank combat game where you drive heavy armor across rolling, uneven terrain while blasting enemy vehicles. Because your tank’s cannon is fixed, aiming is entirely controlled by the angle of your chassis. You have to use the hills to your advantage, tilting your tank backwards to fire high into the air or pointing down a slope to hit targets right in front of you.
The gameplay loop is simple but highly addictive: survive as long as you can against waves of increasingly difficult enemies, collect coins, and use them to upgrade your tank’s armor, engine, and gun. As you progress, you’ll unlock heavier tanks with entirely different weapons, from rapid-fire machine guns to devastating energy blasters, each requiring a different approach to movement and aiming.
Controls
- A / D or Left / Right Arrows: Drive forward and backward (and tilt your tank in the air).
- Spacebar: Fire weapon.
Tips for Surviving Longer
- Don’t rush forward: Enemies spawn based on how far you advance. If you drive too fast, you’ll get surrounded by multiple tanks at once.
- Use reverse to aim: Backing up a hill automatically raises your cannon’s angle. This is the safest way to hit enemies off-screen without exposing yourself.
- Upgrade your engine: While armor and damage are tempting, engine upgrades keep your tank from flipping over backward on steep climbs, which leaves you completely defenseless.
If you enjoy physics games with satisfying destruction and a steady upgrade grind, this is an excellent choice for short, action-packed sessions.
