2048 Cupcakes brings a sweet twist to the classic sliding tile puzzle, swapping out the familiar numbered squares for an ever-upgrading bakery display. You start with basic vanilla treats and slide them across the grid, combining identical pastries to unlock richer, more elaborate desserts. The ultimate goal is to reach the mythical Rainbow Cupcake before the board fills up.
The pace is entirely up to you. Every swipe spawns a new cupcake on an empty tile, turning the grid into a tight spatial puzzle. It requires careful planning to prevent your smaller treats from getting trapped beneath your high-level masterpieces as the board gets crowded.
Controls
- PC: Use the Arrow Keys (Up, Down, Left, Right) or WASD to slide all cupcakes on the board simultaneously.
- Mobile/Tablet: Swipe in any direction on the screen to move the pieces.
Tips that actually help
- Pick a corner: The most reliable strategy is to choose one corner (like the bottom-right) and keep your highest-value cupcake locked there.
- Build a chain: Try to arrange your remaining cupcakes in descending order leading away from your corner piece, making it easier to cascade merges.
- Swipe in only three directions: If you’re building in the bottom-right, avoid swiping Up or Left if possible, so your anchor piece doesn’t leave its safe spot.
