Aquar.io plunges you into a competitive underwater arena where you start as a solitary Queen fish. By feeding on scattered ocean food, your Queen produces a growing swarm of piranhas to swim alongside her. As you explore the map, you can also collect neutral sea creatures to add to your ranks, building a massive, swirling school of followers that serves as both your weapon and your shield against other players.
Every session is a tense balance between hunting and survival. You can merge your smaller creatures into stronger, more durable units, or sacrifice them by feeding them directly to your Queen to level her up and unlock powerful abilities. The ocean is unforgiving—if your Queen falls, your run is over. But if you manage to overwhelm rival swarms and steal their leftover followers, you can quickly dominate the leaderboard.

Tips for Survival
- Protect the Queen: Your swarm is expendable, but your Queen is not. Always keep her safely behind your front line of stronger creatures when engaging enemies.
- Merge strategically: Don’t just spam the merge button. A large swarm of small fish is great for overwhelming slow enemies, while merged, healthier units are better for surviving burst damage.
- Scavenge the battlefield: When two large players fight, stay nearby. You can often swoop in to collect the leftover neutral creatures from the losing player’s destroyed swarm to quickly boost your numbers.
