Bearsus
Bearsus is a fast-paced, two-button arcade wrestling game where you step into the ring as a surprisingly agile grizzly bear. Instead of complicated combo inputs or directional pads, the entire match is fought by leaping across the arena and slamming into your opponent. The goal is to drain the enemy bear’s health bar by landing clean hits while dodging their incoming attacks.
The simplified control scheme makes it incredibly easy to pick up, but mastering the timing of your strikes and blocks takes real practice. Every match is a quick, intense scramble of predicting where your opponent is going to land and punishing their mistakes. You can play solo against the computer or challenge a friend on the same keyboard in local multiplayer.
Controls
The game relies entirely on a two-button system for movement, dodging, and attacking.
- Move/Jump: A and D (Player 1) or Left and Right Arrows (Player 2)
- Attack: Double-tap A/D or Left/Right Arrows
When you cross paths with the opposing bear mid-air, the one executing an attack will land the hit. If both bears are just moving, they will harmlessly bump off each other.
Tips that actually help
- Patience pays off: Don’t just wildly double-tap to attack. Wait for your opponent to make a move, dodge their leap, and attack them while they are recovering.
- Corner pressure: Trapping your opponent against the edge of the ring limits their mobility. Use this to force them into a predictable jump that you can counter.
- Use the clash: If you both attack at the same time, your attacks will clash and push you apart without dealing damage. Use this defensively if you realize you jumped a little too late.
