Bunny Hop turns the classic physics exploit from old-school shooters into its own standalone speedrun challenge. Instead of shooting, your only goal is to gain momentum by jumping and strafing mid-air. You navigate through floating obstacle courses and neon-lit blocks, trying to string together perfect landings without losing your speed or missing a platform.

The movement feels exactly like the classic Source engine mechanics. Every successful jump builds your velocity, making the next leap longer and faster. It takes a few runs to get the rhythm down, but once you figure out how to sync your mouse sweeps with your strafe keys, you can fly through levels in seconds.

Controls

  • WASD: Move
  • Space: Jump
  • Mouse: Look and turn

Tips for Maintaining Speed

  • Never hold W in the air: Once you jump, let go of your forward key. Speed is built entirely by holding a strafe key (A or D) while smoothly turning your mouse in the same direction.
  • Sync your movements: To go left, hold A and slowly pan your mouse left. Right before you land, switch to holding D and panning right. Jumping exactly as you touch the ground preserves your speed.
  • Start small: If you lose your rhythm, stop and reset. It is much harder to recover from a bad jump than to build speed from a standstill.
