House of Hazards is a chaotic couch-multiplayer party game where everyday chores become a fight for survival. Up to four players take turns trying to complete mundane tasks—like brewing coffee, grabbing the mail, or watering the plants—while everyone else works together to stop them. The catch? The other players control the house’s many traps in real-time, firing toast out of the toaster, dropping ceiling lamps, or turning the floor into a slippery mess to ruin your run.
Every round is fast-paced and entirely unpredictable. As you dodge hazards and sprint toward your objective, the roles constantly shift. One moment you’re the runner desperately trying to leave the house, and the next you’re waiting in the rafters with a trap perfectly timed to crush your friends. It’s an incredibly fun, competitive game that turns a simple morning routine into an obstacle course.
Controls
- Player 1: WASD to move and jump; S to crouch/fire hazards
- Player 2: Arrow keys to move and jump; Down arrow to crouch/fire hazards
Tips for Winning
- Bait the traps: If you know your friends are waiting to drop a trap, step forward and quickly back up to make them waste it.
- Learn the trap spots: Pay attention to what objects can be interacted with. Knowing that a specific cabinet door can swing open gives you an edge both as a runner and a hazard.
- Patience is key: Sprinting blindly will almost always get you squished by a falling lamp. Take your time and wait for a safe opening.
