Jump and Hover is a minimalist puzzle-platformer where timing and resource management are just as important as quick reflexes. You control a simple black square navigating through a series of spike-filled rooms, but your main tool isn’t just jumping—it’s the ability to defy gravity and hover through the air to cross impossible gaps.
Every time you hover, you drain your limited energy meter. The challenge lies in feathering your hover just enough to make it over obstacles without running out of juice before you hit solid ground. Later levels introduce mid-air battery pickups that refill your meter on the fly, turning each stage into a precise, calculated sequence of jumps and glides to reach the exit portal.

This game requires a keyboard to play.
- Move: Left and Right arrow keys or A and D
- Jump: Up arrow, W, or Spacebar
- Hover: Press and hold the jump key while in the air

Tips for Success
- Feather the hover: Don’t just hold the jump key down constantly. Tap and hold it in short bursts to stretch your energy meter as far as possible.
- Grab batteries mid-air: Floating batteries instantly refill your energy. Plan your flight path so you hit them right when your meter is running low.
- Fall before you hover: Let gravity do the work when dropping down shafts. Save your hover for the last moment to guide yourself safely past spikes.
