MurderPlay Murder, a hilarious reaction game where you sneak up to assassinate the king, then steal his crown and try to survive assassins of your own.
Murder
Murder is a hilarious game of deception and quick reflexes where you play as a scheming vizier with a single goal: quietly assassinate the king and take the throne for yourself. The gameplay is split into two tense phases. First, you must creep up behind the ruling monarch and carefully charge your attack, making sure to drop your weapon if he turns around to look.
Once you successfully secure the crown, the tables turn. Now you are the king, and a parade of suspiciously friendly characters—from jesters to cooks—will walk behind you. You have to watch their movements and time your glances backward to catch them red-handed before they can do to you exactly what you did to your predecessor. If you can survive long enough without getting stabbed, you might just die peacefully of old age.
Controls
- Spacebar: Hold to charge your knife attack (as the assassin), or press to look behind you (as the king).
Tips for Surviving the Throne
- Watch for tells: When you are the king, pay close attention to the characters behind you. Some will raise their weapons slowly, while others strike almost instantly.
- Don’t get paranoid: If you constantly look back and catch innocent people, you will slowly lose your sanity or health. Only turn around when they reveal their weapon.
- The jester is tricky: The jester might pretend to attack just to bait you into looking. Wait for the real strike before turning.
