ZOOM-BE
ZOOM-BE is a cooperative puzzle-platformer where two friends must work together to escape a secret facility after being transformed into zombies. Playing on the same keyboard, you and a friend must coordinate every move to solve spatial puzzles, outsmart armed guards, and reach the exit doors. One zombie is big and strong, while the other is small and fast, meaning neither of you can survive alone.
The core loop relies on teamwork and using each character’s unique abilities. The big zombie can smash through obstacles and act as a stepping stone, while the small zombie can squeeze through tight spaces and jump higher. You’ll need to figure out the right sequence of buttons to press, crates to move, and enemies to dodge in order to clear the path for both characters.
Controls
You play this game on a shared keyboard. Each player uses a different set of keys to control their character:
- Player 1 (Small Zombie): Arrow Keys to move and jump.
- Player 2 (Big Zombie): W, A, S, D to move and jump.
Tips for Escaping the Facility
- Use the buddy system: The small zombie can jump on the big zombie’s head to reach higher platforms that are otherwise inaccessible.
- Look before you leap: Take a moment at the start of each level to trace the path to the exit. Figure out which buttons control which doors before making a move.
- Timing matters: Some puzzles require both players to move simultaneously to distract guards or hit moving platforms, so communicate constantly.
