Raft Wars is a classic physics-based artillery game where you play as Simon and his brother, defending your hard-earned beach treasure from pirates, vikings, and hostile neighbors. Armed initially with just a few tennis balls, you must calculate the perfect trajectory and power to knock your enemies out of their rafts or deplete their health before they sink you first.
The gameplay relies on trial-and-error aiming, forcing you to carefully adjust your angle after each shot. Between levels, you can spend your recovered gold to upgrade your raft’s defenses, unlock a larger crew, or buy explosive weapons like grenades and rockets. Every round is a quick, turn-based shootout that requires a steady hand and a good eye for angles.
Controls
- Aim: Move your mouse to determine the angle of your shot.
- Power: Click and drag the mouse away from your character to increase shot power.
- Fire: Release the left mouse button to shoot.
Tips
- Watch the splash: Use your first shot as a tracer. Pay attention to where it lands and adjust your angle and power slightly for the next turn.
- Aim for knockbacks: Hitting the edge of an enemy’s raft or hitting them directly can sometimes knock them into the water for an instant KO, bypassing their health entirely.
- Prioritize firepower: In the early levels, upgrading your weapons (like grenades) often pays off more than upgrading your raft’s health, since taking out enemies quickly reduces the damage you take.
