Battle Golf throws out the slow, quiet traditions of the sport and turns it into a frantic arcade race. Instead of carefully studying the green, you are racing against the clock—or a friend on the same screen—to sink as many hole-in-ones as possible. The holes appear on small, floating islands, and you only have seconds to line up your shot before time runs out.
The entire game revolves around a simple, addictive two-tap mechanic. The aim meter constantly sweeps up and down; your first tap locks the angle, and your second tap locks the power. It is incredibly easy to understand but surprisingly hard to master, especially when the game starts throwing in obstacles like birds, helicopters, or a shrinking timer.
Controls
- Single Player: Left Click or Spacebar to start the aim meter, then Click/Spacebar again to set power and shoot.
- Two Player (Local): Player 1 uses the A key; Player 2 uses the L key.
Tips that actually help
- Don’t hesitate: The timer is unforgiving. It is usually better to take a fast, slightly risky shot than to wait for the meter to sweep all the way back around.
- Watch the birds: Hitting the birds that fly across the screen stops them from blocking your shots and sometimes earns you a little extra time.
- Play the angles: If a hole is at the far edge of an island, aim high and drop the ball straight down to prevent it from bouncing into the water.
