Drift Boss
Drift Boss is an endless, one-button arcade game where your only goal is to keep your car from falling off a floating, zigzagging track. The mechanics are aggressively simple: your car automatically moves forward and constantly steers to the left. Pressing and holding a button forces it to drift right. When you release, it immediately snaps back to moving left. Every turn is a sharp corner, meaning you have to time your holds and releases perfectly to stay on the narrow platform.
The pacing starts off manageable but quickly ramps up as the track introduces tighter sequences, bumps, and narrower pathways. Along the way, you collect coins which can be spent between runs. You can unlock a garage full of different vehicles—like a taxi, police car, or fire truck—and buy single-use boosters like “Car Insurance” that give you one free restart if you fall off.
Controls
- Mouse / Touch: Click (or tap) and hold to turn right. Release to turn left.
- Keyboard: Press and hold the Spacebar to turn right. Release to turn left.
Tips that actually help
- Don’t oversteer on the straightaways: When the track is relatively straight but narrow, use very quick, light taps to keep the car centered. Holding the button too long will send you straight off the edge.
- Anticipate the bumps: Some sections of the track have ramps or bumps. Your car will be briefly airborne, and you cannot steer while in the air. Make sure your angle is correct before you hit the jump.
- Buy Car Insurance for high score runs: If you’re having a good run, having that one extra life is invaluable. Don’t waste your coins on it when you are just practicing, though.
