3 Slices
3 Slices is a minimalist physics puzzle game that gives you exactly what its title promises: three cuts to solve each level. Your goal is to clear a target percentage of red blocks from the screen while keeping the blue blocks safely on the platforms. By clicking and dragging to draw a line, you slice through shapes and let gravity do the rest.
The challenge comes from how the physics engine handles weight and momentum. A tiny sliver sliced off the top of a block won’t do much, but slicing a wedge from the bottom can cause a heavy block to slide, tilt, and knock other red shapes off the edge. You have to think ahead, using one slice to destabilize a structure and the next to sweep the pieces away.
Controls
- PC / Mac: Click and drag your mouse across the shapes to draw a slicing line. Release to make the cut.
- Mobile / Touch: Swipe your finger across the screen to draw the slice.
Tips that actually help
- Use gravity and leverage: Don’t just chop shapes in half; slice off corner wedges to create ramps or make blocks off-balance so they tumble off the edge naturally.
- Blue blocks are anchors: You cannot let them fall, but you can sometimes use them to block red pieces from tumbling the wrong way, or bounce red pieces off them.
- You don’t have to use all three slices: If you can clear the required red percentage with one or two well-placed cuts, the level still counts as a success.
- Watch the percentage meter: Some levels only require 60% or 80% of the red blocks to fall. Don’t overcomplicate your cuts trying to clear the entire screen if it isn’t necessary.
