Basket RandomControl a team of floppy players in Basket Random, a chaotic one-button physics basketball game. First to 5 wins as the court changes every point.
Basket Random
Basket Random throws out all the serious rules of basketball and replaces them with pure, chaotic physics. Instead of carefully dribbling and setting up plays, you control a team of two floppy, unpredictable players with just a single button. Every time you press it, your players jump and swing their arms wildly, trying to tip the ball into the hoop or at least block the opponent from scoring.
The real hook of the game is that absolutely everything changes after every single basket. One point you might be playing in a standard gym with normal basketballs, and the next you’re playing on a snowy court with ice physics and a bowling ball. Matches go up to 5 points, and because the physics are so loose, games are fast, funny, and usually end in lots of yelling when playing locally against a friend.
Controls
The game is entirely built around a single-button control scheme for each player.
- Player 1: Press W to jump and swing arms.
- Player 2: Press Up Arrow to jump and swing arms.
- Mobile/Tablet: Tap your side of the screen to jump.
Tips for Winning
- Wait for them to jump: Since jumping throws your players into the air and leaves them helpless on the way down, wait for your opponent to leap first. You can easily score by jumping right after they miss their block.
- Pay attention to the ball type: When the court changes, check the ball. Heavy medicine balls and bowling balls won’t fly far, so you need to be up close to the hoop. Light beach balls will float, making them easier to tip in from far away.
- Defend the rim: You don’t always have to shoot. Sometimes, just positioning one of your players under your own hoop and jumping when the ball comes near is enough to block an easy shot.
If you’re looking for a serious sports simulation, this isn’t it. Basket Random runs right in the browser and is perfect for quick, loud, and competitive matches between classes or during breaks.
